As part of the project for the construction of the submarine crossing of the oil pipeline between the island of Krk and the mainland, works were carried out on the construction of a bypass route of the onshore parts of the oil pipeline with a length of about 5 km, from the town of Šmrika on the mainland to the town of Vošćica on the island. In addition to the construction of the route, the works included the construction of plateaus, access roads, fences and masonry buildings of the Vošćica and Šmrika block stations.
